I’ve finally started writing my next book – Killer Cupcakes! As you might have guessed, it’s a murder mystery. A “cozy mystery” as they call it – full of all kinds of cute and funny things. Well, at least I hope it will be funny. I’m trying to be funny, anyway so if you read it, please laugh at the appropriate times.
As the name of the book implies, my protagonist owns a bakery. Her specialty is cupcake tops. Yep, just the tops – you know the good part with the frosting. I got the idea one day when my sister told me that she only eats the tops of the cupcakes and throws the bottoms away! I got to thinking that I usually do something similar, except I don’t like to waste cake so I eat the top first and then suffer through the frosting-less bottoms.
Anywho… to get in the mood for writing I took a virtual cupcake tour to look at some yummy cupcakes. I would have baked some, but I’m just a pen name and I would have had to convince my real human alter ego to bake them and she’s pretty lazy so I had to be satisfied with just looking at them online. My favorite one is picture in this post. Now I’m craving cupcakes… can pen names have cravings?
Damn, now I want cupcakes myself LOL Looking forward to read your new book, it looks like it has an interesting touch for the murder mystery genre 🙂
When I saw the title, I was expeting to see a Halloween decorated cupcake. Now I need some cake.

You are sooo unfair. You know I’m on a diet… and now I’m craving frosting. ‘Cause let’s face it, that’s what the tops are, right? Well, maybe a bite or two of cupcake, but mostly frosting.
I hear ya! Been eating too many cupcakes while writing the darn thing that’s for sure. The frosting is the best part!
